Chassis Features:
The FA1.0 Isogrid Chassis is the most versatile tuning chassis available for the Yokomo MD1.0
Featuring striking form follows function design, the chassis allows you to adjust the flex characteristics on the fly by repositioning the adjustment bracket which is easily accessible from the bottom of the chassis. Cut from a 4mm thick plate of carbon fiber, the chassis is milled and pocketed out from both sides to be as light as possible while retaining stiffness where it matters. Despite the increase in thickness, the overall weight of all the chassis components remains extremely competitive, adding just 8g to the mass of the car.
The chassis features a convenient quick release battery tray system that wont require you to constantly fiddle with loose screws and o-rings. The battery position can easily be adjusted forward and back in order to quickly change the weight bias of the chassis. The battery retainer is friction based. The aluminum upright clamps against nylon washers which hold the carbon fiber finger in place. The tension is adjustable by tightening the screw and lock-nut. This design is simple, lightweight, and accommodates multiple battery thicknesses without having to change any parts. It will support up to a 22.5mm tall battery like the Gens Ace 5100mah Redline Pack. You could also space up the entire battery tray assembly 3mm to work with the 25mm tall shorties like the Gens Ace 6000mah redline packs. The tray features removable spacers that allow it to work with 93 and 96mm width batteries.
The wheelbase of the chassis can be adjusted between 253mm-263mm in order to accommodate most of the bodies available on the market today. A replacement top deck with matching styling is included to facilitate this feature but also allows you to change the stiffness of the chassis by installing an optional 25mm standoff between the rails.
